Text Box: Thank you! Congratulations to Mr. Tim Hwang, junior at Wootton High School, elected as the 2009-2010 student member of the Board of Education.

Mr. Hwang was chosen by 56.49 percent of the secondary students who cast ballots in the April 29, 2009 election, conducted by the Montgomery County Region of the Maryland Association of Student Councils. The overall voter turnout was 84.68 percent (63,386 students). All high schools and middle schools submitted election results, along with four alternative programs. Mr. Hwang will begin his term as the 32nd student member of the Board on July 1st, 2009.
